New Paltz
I transferred to SUNY New Paltz from my old community college in 2017, and although I knew I was ready to move on to bigger and brighter things, I had no idea exactly what to expect at New Paltz. As it turned out, I would fall in love with New Paltz and all it had to offer, and more than that, I made lifelong friends and for the first time began to truly feel comfortable with who I was. New Paltz transformed me into the man I am today, and the town, college, surrounding mountains, and most importantly, my friends, will be with me long after having graduated.

Memories
01.
Thanksgiving Dinner
Shortly before Thanksgiving break, my suite and the suite nextdoor decided to plan a giant buffet meal and have our own Thanksgiving. Mac & cheese, chicken, biscuits, mashed and sweet potatoes... we truly made ourselves a feast fit for a king. I'm incredibly thankful to all my college friends who helped shape such a life changing experience.

Study Abroad Job
A job at the Study Abroad Office was the perfect way to continue to live out my Aussie adventure, make friends, and earn a decent paycheck. From giving presentations, encouraging others to make the international leap, and manning the Farmer's Market, I gained both a great job experience and a greater appreciation for the complexities of an international world.

02.
The Ripstick
The Ripstick was one of the greatest- and most difficult to master- challenges that beset my college experience. All who came to the suite attempted to ride the beast- a feat few succeeded and even fewer mastered. And yet the chosen few- ripstick masters- could glide with elegance across the dorm room.
