After planning on releasing this for a really long time, for the first time I'm publishing a small portion of my book Rise of a Warrior online! For anyone not familiar, I've had the idea of writing a book in my head since graduating high school, which was originally very much based on my life and very much a tool for helping me cope with my mother's death. It has since evolved into a more creative work with several unique characters and settings, and a plot line that originally was not planned has since become the key focus of the main character. I originally completed almost 300 pages over the course of my time at community college, but wasn't quite satisfied with the later half of the story's progression. Re-plotting, getting involved in college and work, and other focuses have slowed the project a lot since, but, I'm hoping that I'm once again on the right track and able to continue working towards completion.
There's not a ton of explanation necessary (it's the first chapters, after all), though you're welcome to look for the premise and cast of characters which are both also available on this website. All that said, I really hope you give it a read some time and let me know what you think! Depending on how long quarantine lasts (and my motivation), I might be able to get a lot more done in a short amount of time and get more sections out for people to enjoy! Here's the link to the PDF:
